PPA, short for Polyphthalamide, is a type of semi-aromatic polyamide that sits between traditional nylons (like PA6 and PA66) and specialty engineering plastics (such as PPS and LCP) in terms of performance and cost.
Thanks to the introduction of aromatic rings into its molecular structure, PPA offers significantly improved thermal stability and lower moisture absorption.
✅ Excellent heat resistance: Heat deflection temperature can reach around 240–260°C, much higher than PA66.
✅ Low moisture absorption: Ensures outstanding dimensional stability even in humid environments.
